Where Have I Visited?

IMG_2441.JPG

Eastern Kentucky University

The campus is beautiful, it offers business, and seems to have a great support system. I have visited EKU four times for school and once on my own. During all of these visits, I have gotten to see inside dorms, classrooms, and learn about housing options and meal plans. My next steps are to visit again and learn about classes offered in my major, study abroad opportunities and financial aid options.

Berea College

When most people think of Berea the first thing that comes to mind is the No-Tuition Promise. This promise allows low-income students to graduate college with very little debt, where otherwise they could not afford it. Berea pushes for relationships with fellow classmates and professors. Many opportunities for studying abroad are offered through Berea, this is what caught my eye. I have always wanted to experience traveling abroad but never thought I would have the opportunity without breaking my bank account. Berea's environment is very different from other colleges/universities.When I visited I couldn't help but feel at home. Overall I absolutely fell in love with everything about Berea College.

KEES Money

I currently have $1,636.00 in KEES money. I earned $400.00 in 9th grade, $450.00 in 10th grade, $500.00 in 11th grade, and $286.00 for my ACT score. No KEES money has been granted for my senior year as of right now, but should be posted in May. I have also been awarded $4,000 from the Provost Scholarship from EKU.

3. Campus Visit

The first time I visited the campus was to learn more about the college. I was given a tour where I had the opportunity to ask many questions and get a feel for the Berea environment. Not long after I submitted my application for Berea, the admissions counselor, Kenny Cullings reached out to set up a meeting. During the meeting, I answered many questions to help Kenny get to know me.

4. My Portfolio

This website is a way for colleges to learn as much as they can about me. Throughout my four years of high school I have added information and opportunities that is relevant.
